Most charming, typically Savoyarde village in the Trois Vallées, with access to all the skiing but without the Brits and crowds of Meribel or the sky-high prices of Courchevel.
FOR SKIERS
St Martin de Belleville is fully linked in to the massive Trois Vallées ski area, offering skiing for all levels, from nervous beginners to hardened experts. The resort itself has some fabulous runs which are not heavily trafficked, including the not-to-be-missed red Jerusalem.
FOR NON-SKIERS
St Martin and its surrounding area has lots to offer the non-skier. The church nearby is worth a visit, there are lots of lovely foodie shops selling local produce, and there is a market once a week in the main square. There are also snow shoe walks and dog sleigh rides, as well as skidoo rides and parapenting, plus magical torch-lit tours of old St Martin by night, too, followed by tastings of local products.
