Mazot Les Tines is an impossibly gorgeous miniature ski chalet. It is a small but perfectly formed romantic hideaway with fabulous wooden interiors, stylish touches throughout and even its own outdoor hot tub. Combine with a handy location for all the world-class skiing of Chamonix, plus total privacy – and this gets big ticks all round. Charming beyond imagination.
Old Chamonix chic, with a sumptuous contemporary twist. This little ski chalet is all wood and completely cosy, like something out of Hansel and Gretel.
The chalet sleeps two adults and has just one totally dreamy bedroom upstairs, with a door leading to a small balcony and wooden stairs. The bathroom is downstairs and consists of a cute little shower room with piping hot water. There is also a balcony-mezzanine, accessed by a ladder, with space for mattresses for children, should you want to bring little ones with you.
Mazot Les Tines is a totally self-catered ski chalet. It has a neat little kitchen downstairs with small oven, hob, fridge and even washing machine. Its small but charming and perfectly functional. There is a dining area beyond this, plus you are totally free to explore all the gorgeous restaurants and bars of the Chamonix valley.
There are no spa facilities at the chalet. It’s too small!
There is an open ladder up to the sleeping platform (see Rooms) so it isn’t suitable for very small children. Boxed games available.
The authentic, old ski chalet feel, the views, and the gorgeous styling.
The fact that you have to do your own catering, but that does mean you have total control – and complete privacy.
This darling little Chamonix chalet is located half way between Chamonix and Argentière, in the tiny village of Les Tines, making it perfectly positioned for skiing at both Les Grands Montets and Flégère-Brévent. There is free day travel in the valley for visitors using the bus or little single track mountain train. Both the bus stop and the Les Tines train station are 250m from the Mazot.
It has a pretty garden with the Mont Blanc massif as a backdrop and the River Arve running close by – just stunning.
Chamonix is just over an hour from Geneva. Transfers can be arranged, at extra cost, or hire cars.
