Courchevel 1650 Moriond
Sleeps: 10

Chalet Mollard is rather different from the classic chalet. It feels sort of beachy, and could easily be located beside the sea in Cornwall. There is lots of tongue and groove panelling painted in soft baby blue, but it works really well. It’s a lovely, homely chalet, in a plum, central location.

Think New England beach hut. This luxury self-catered chalet has a fresh and bright ambience with Farrow & Ball pastels throughout. It feels relaxed and homely, and is a great spot for groups who are looking for a fun resort with top class skiing. There are gorgeous linen sofas, a roaring wood-burner, velvet footstools, and big lamps.

There are five bedrooms at this luxury ski chalet, including a double with private bathroom, one double, one double/twin, one twin and a bunk room, plus two family bathrooms. Each continues the Cornish/New England vibe, with soft blue woodwork, port hole mirrors and driftwood furniture.

Chalet Mollard is a luxury self-catered chalet, complete with a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen. You could easily make the most of Courchevel 1650 Moriond’s huge choice of restaurants every night, if you didn’t want to cook, or if you prefer to stay in and be cooked for then a chef can be arranged to visit the chalet for your group. The concierge can also arrange pre-arrival shopping (including putting away the shopping) wine delivery and daily bakery deliveries upon request.

Chalet Mollard has a secluded Nordic-style wooden hot tub nestled under the eaves of the upper balcony of the chalet, providing a romantic spot in which to relax as the sunset colours fade….

This luxury self-catered chalet is suitable for children, with a separate TV and games room with DVDs and games available. Sledges, toys and games are also available, with equipment for babies provided on request: travel cots, highchairs, bed-guards, bottle sterilisers etc.

The pretty seaside décor and the location, just a short stroll from the lifts and bars.

If you wanted a classic cuckoo clock chalet vibe, this isn’t the chalet for you!

MY TOP TIP

The fab Aquamotion swimming centre and spa is a stroll or short bus ride away and is highly popular with non-skiers or those with bucket-loads of energy. Think waterslides, bubbles, jets, and open-air zones, saunas, steam rooms and even a cinema salt cave. There’s also a seriously cool surf zone and a climbing wall which is popular with youngsters.
