This gorgeous 18th century Savoyard farmhouse has got the lot — ancient beams, open log fire, chandeliers, old wood everywhere, rustic walls, plus sauna and outdoor hot tub. It’s also within walking distance of buzzing Morzine, it is bookable by the room and even does short breaks, so it ticks lots of boxes.
La Ferme a Mamy combines ancient with modern. It has been beautifully reclaimed from its 18th century farmhouse roots and has been fully refurbished to retain all of its original features – slate floors, ancient beams, open log fire, rustic walls, and spacious rooms. It has a wonderful ambience that reflects its history, plus a real sense of comfort, space and luxury. There is also a separate TV lounge from the main living area, adding to the space.
The bedrooms at La Ferme a Mamy are stylish, elegant and have heaps of space. The chalet has three doubles/twins with ensuite showers, two ensuite triple rooms (one of which has a bath), plus a spacious family room sleeping 4 adults with an ensuite shower. Each room is supplied with bathrobes, slippers, flannels plus lovely complimentary T London toiletries.
The food and drink at this luxury catered ski chalet is of an exceptional standard. It provides a delicious buffet style breakfast with a different hot option on every day of the week including the chef’s day off. There is also afternoon tea on every day of the week, and then a 4-course evening meal on six nights of the week.
Mains might include slow roast pork belly with Bayonne ham, black pudding and apple compote with Lyonnaise potatoes, cider jus and cumin roasted carrots. Or pan seared duck breast with creamed cabbage and celeriac, bacon and chestnuts plus caramelised star anise pear. Puds range from plum and pistachio frangipane tart with crème fraiche to apple ‘four ways’ (strudel parcel, sorbet, mousse and toffee apple wedge).
Guests are offered mouth-watering canapés too and a champagne reception on arrival. The house wine is complimentary at all times and the chalet has a sommelier’s selection of upgraded wine served at meal times.
La Ferme a Mamy has both a sauna and a steaming hot tub which is located on the terrace and which can be reached through the patio doors on the first floor of the chalet.
This child-friendly chalet really looks after little ones. It provides a cot, high chair, car seat and a baby welcome pack including nappies/wipes etc to get you started on your holiday. For the older children it has Netflix, table football and a Wii to keep them entertained. There is also a separate TV snug/second living room where children can play away from the adults.
The real sense of history in the chalet, plus its spacious rooms and fantastic food.

This luxury ski chalet is located in a quiet back road just over the footbridge from the centre of Morzine. It is an easy 4-minute walk to the centrally located Super Morzine cable car, giving easy access to the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski region. The Pleney lift is a further few minutes’ walk or you can just hop on the ‘Petit Train’ to be taken round to the alternative lifts. This luxury ski chalet also offers a minibus service to take guests to, and pick them up from, all the lifts.
The nearest airport is Geneva which is a 90 minute drive away. The chalet can arrange shared transfers priced £60 return.
