Les Tissourds is a pristine, modern ski chalet near the heart of Chamonix. It is a self-catered chalet and has ready access to all the gorgeous restaurants in town, as well as just being a few minutes’ walk to bus stops for the Flégère lift station and all the other ski areas in the valley. It also has an outdoor hot tub. Catering can be arranged.

This luxury ski chalet is super-contemporary throughout and has been simply but beautifully furnished.

The top floor has a large kingsize double bedroom with an extra single bed so can also be a twin. The bathroom is separate. On the second floor there is one double bedroom with en suite shower room, another double, plus a twin. All of these rooms can be double but only one can be a twin. There is a separate shower room also on this floor and two rooms have little balconies. L’Occitane toiletries are supplied, but no dressing gowns or slippers unless the chalet is let on a catered basis.

Les Tissourds usually operates as a self-catered chalet. Catering can be arranged, however.

The chalet has an outdoor hot tub which has lovely views of Mont Blanc.

The chalet is perfectly family friendly, situated in a quiet, safe road, and with a cosy TV snug for children to play in.

The simple, contemporary look and self-catered offering.

The living area is not enormous.

LOCATION

This Chamonix chalet is well located just five minutes from the centre of Chamonix and the Aiguille du Midi lift station, which whisks skiers up to the fabled Vallee Blanche. There is no in-resort transport, but the bus stop is within a minute’s walk, linking guests to Chamonix town centre and the Flégère lift station (the closest in the valley) for free every half hour. The main bus station is also only five minutes away.

GETTING THERE

Geneva airport is the nearest airport. Transfers are not included in the price but can be arranged. Chamonix is just over an hour from Geneva, so it is a really short transfer – great for weekends and short breaks.

MY TOP TIP

Don’t miss the bucket-list ski that is the Vallée Blanche. Epic scenery, and surprisingly doable — you just need to be a confident red run skier.

GUESTBOOK

Perfect spot for Chamonix adventures. The chalet is big, cosy and comfortable. All the amenities you need, with lovely, comfy beds, a great downstairs TV room, a Jacuzzi with spectacular views to sooth aching ski muscles and an open plan living area. It’s close to town but far enough away from the centre to avoid the noise. Conveniently located a short walk away from a bus stop that has buses going to all the major local ski routes. Also close to a top- notch restaurant and bar for fun nights out. I would definitely stay here again.” JB, Jan 2015

“An ideal chalet with stunning scenery run by wonderful people! From start to finish we were looked after, welcomed with smiles and plenty of help and advice. The chalet was spotless and the log fire cosy. Easy access to bus routes & short walk into town. Even the restaurant and bar at the end of the road are well worth a visit!” GS, Jan 2015
