Verbier is a knock-out, world famous resort, which makes it expensive, plus it is also in Switzerland, which makes it doubly expensive. But this immaculate new property is a rare thing for Verbier, in that it is a self-catered chalet, making staying in such a fantastic ski destination more affordable. And it is beautiful. Oh, and it has its own fully kitted-out private spa.
This luxury ski chalet oozes style. It is a decidedly deluxe two bedroom wooden chalet apartment which occupies the entire ground floor of a smart property on the Rue de Ransou in the heart of Verbier. It has resplendent interiors with impeccable finishes, beautifully exposed wooden beams and sumptuous furnishings by Christian Liaigre, giving it the feel of a cosy — but deeply luxurious — home.
The large living space comprises an elegant sitting room lined with books on one side, and open fireplace on the other side with a comfortable L-shaped designer sofa. Behind the sitting area is the dining room for six with an open-plan designer kitchen breakfast bar. The kitchen area is fully equipped with washer/dryer, cooker, oven and dishwasher.
The main bedroom in Chalet Lilianette boasts a king-size bed decorated with French canopy in white linen with ensuite bathroom.
The second bedroom is decorated in traditional ‘mountain style’, with lots of wood and another a king size bed set in a wooden alcove. This room benefits from the use of the guest bathroom. There is also a double bed set up in the spa which can be used as extra space.
Both the bedrooms come with Vispring mattresses from Harrods and have Peter Reed 100% cotton linens. There are plentiful The White Company toiletries supplied throughout.
Chalet Lilianette is a self-catered rather than catered chalet, so you can dine in at your leisure or sample some of the fabulous restaurants for which Verbier is justly renowned. A chef can be arranged on request.
The spa facilities at Chalet Lilianette are dreamy. It has its very own, extremely elegant, private indoor spa in white granite, the most soothing, relaxing space to collapse after a day on the slopes. This is equipped with a steam room, plunge pool, shower and fridge, and there is even a gorgeous four poster bed which also serves as an extra double bed.
There used to be an indoor Jacuzzi in this luxury ski chalet but that has now been moved and the apartment now has a private outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as a private terrace with sun loungers plus private garden and BBQ for the warmer months.
There is a cupboard in the spa with plastic glasses for wine and champagne as well as a washing machine, dryer and linen cupboards.
Children are welcome at Chalet Lilianette but the apartment does not have any special games or extra facilities.
The beautiful spa and the fantastically central location.
Having to cook for yourself, but this does mean you are free to dine out as you wish and to truly experience Verbier at night rather than being cosseted indoors.
Chalet Lilianette is located in the heart of Verbier, just steps from La Rouge piste (ski-in), and a five minute walk from the main Medran hub or the shops and restaurants around Place Centrale via a private walkway.
Lilianette can provide contact details for a private transfer company. The chalet is just 53 km from the private airport at Sion, 160 km from Geneva Airport and 282 km from Zurich Airport.
